LifeNaut’s First Competitor?
As unique, futuristic, and outside-the-box as The LifeNaut Project is, believe it or not we seem to have our first Competitor! A fairly new company, Swiss DNA Bank is offering a service analogous to our Mindfile and Biofile projects– like LifeNaut they offer super secure storage of your memories and your DNA. So then what is the biggest difference between Swiss DNA Bank and the LifeNaut Project? Participation in the LifeNaut Mindfile and Biofile programs is 100% FREE, whereas participation in the Swiss DNA Bank with 8 GB of “Forever Memory Storage” costs $997.00 USD.
We see the competition as a good thing– we are both serving a common good and it will only help personal archiving technology evolve at a quicker pace. According to Swiss DNA Bank, “It takes a whole lifetime to build your memories. Secure your personal knowledge, your life experiences, your documents, your pictures, your videos and audio files, in a safe Swiss vault, where they will be preserved forever. Make your memories live on!”
